Organic Savings

I am so sorry I have been a huge slacker here lately and have not posted much :( I am going to try harder to post more often. I have a couple of organic savings for you.....

The new Greenwise Market magazine is out at Publix. It is free in the front of the store. In this great magazine are Organic coupons. Some are store coupons and some are manuf. coupons. The two GREAT coupons I found are the $1 off Horizon Milk (which is the milk I give my boys anyway) and the .50 off any Apple & Eve Organic Juice. There is also a coupon for .55 off Horizon milk which is on the Horizon website which you can use w/ the $1.00 off. The Apply & Eve 4 pack juice is $1.39. Use the .50 off and after doubling it will be .39 total. Pretty good deal considering it is Organic Juice.

Walgreens 5/10-5/16m Healthy Deal

I started a fitness bootcamp this week and had my nutrional seminar today. It gave me a much needed boost to keep this healthy kick going for me. I learned a lot today, but a new trick I learned I would like to share with you. Studies show that women who take 6 Omega 3 Fish Oil pills everyday for 3 weeks will loose up to 3lbs of FAT. I thought this was pretty cool. That is losing FREE FAT. No work needed (other than money). I learned a lot of great things but who can afford this stuff all the time? Well this really has motivated me to find affordable healthy things for you and your family! I am still going to post everything I have been posting, I will just try harder to search for healthier things too. Stock Up on your Vitamins

Ok....since I started this get healthy kick I have decided Jonathan and I need to be on vitamins. I HATE buying vitamins b/c they are expensive, they are not fun to buy, and I have always felt like I can live without them. Well Publix has the One A Day for men and women on sale for $4.99. Just wait it gets much better..... In the Spring Savings Publix booklet ( found at the front of the store) there is a coupon ( on the first page) for $5.00 off when you buy two One A Day vitamin products PLUS in tomorrow's paper (Sunday 4/19) there is a coupon in Red Plum for $2.00 off a women's One A Day vitamins and $1.00 off Men's. That makes the vitamins $1.00 each! If you save coupons look back a few weeks and there is a $4.00 off when you buy two One A Day vitamins in a Red Plum. I am not sure what week it was but the coupons were not expired so it was not too long ago. If you a lucky enough to have that coupon it makes these .50 each. I am going back tomorrow to get more! The Spring Savings coupon expires on the 24th so go soon.

F.Y.I If you go tomorrow or Monday get your penny item. You have to spend $10 to get your penny item but the vitamins are $10 before coupons. So you can leave with the penny item and two boxes of vitamins for a little over $1.00!

Healthy Choices

I have been convicted about fixing and eating healthy foods for me and my family. I am not doing anything crazy just trying to make healhier choices. Some think b/c I shop for free or sale items all the time, there is no way to eat healthy. I am going to try and change this. From now on I am going to list healthier choices in GREEN. If I find a super deal on something that is normally to expensive to buy I am going to list it as well. Maybe we can all get healthy together :)

Now I want to tell you in detail how I did this. Everyone can do this eventually, I promise. I had to go back to Publix today b/c there were some awesome deals I missed... and I went ahead and got another penny item (the bleach) :) PAM is BOGO (buy one get one free). They are normally $3.25 but since they are BOGO it makes them $1.63 each. Publix puts out 2 FREE magazines each month ( found at the front of the store). In this magazine you will find a .55 of PAM. Get two magazines and use both coupons. Even though one of the PAMs is FREE you can use a coupon for it. This makes the PAM around $1.00 each. I also had manufacturers coupons from a while back. One for .50 off and one or .35 off. (That is why I say keep EVERY Coupon you ever get, they do not expire). Publix doubled those so I got an additional $1.70 off, making them about .20 cents each. The Vitamin water is on sale buy 2, get 1 free. They are $1.49 each. I had 2 coupons for 1.00 each. They were not expired so they were recent coupons. Making all 3 .37 cents each. They are on sale at Target for $1.oo so with the coupons they will be free there. In that free magazine there is a $3.00 off coupon ( be sure and look at the minimum #) for Duracel batteries normally $5.49 and there is also a coupon in the PG last Sunday for .75 off. Use both which makes them $1.74. The Revelon tools I got for $1.89 & $1.49. Use the $2.oo of any Revelon cosmetic coupon or the $1.oo off Revelon cosmetic tool. Both will work. I ended up having to use the $1.oo off b/c Publix would have ended up owing me money if I used the $2. The Bayer is $2.69. There is a $2.oo off coupon in the other Free Publix magazine and I also used a manufacturer coupon for $2.00 off Asprin. Use a $1.00 if you don't have a $2.oo. So I ended up making money on this item which was applied to my total. I hope this was all understandable!

Making money at CVS

CVS has some great buys this week too.

3/26/2009 Bi-Lo Trip

All this for $14.14. I went to Bi-Lo today to get the "Meal Deal". Buy 2 Bird's Eye Steamfresh meals and get Pepperdige Farm cake and garlic bread, Bird's Eye corn on the Cob, and a 6 pack of coke all free! I also got the Knorr sides $1 each using a .60 off 2 (after doubling it would be $1.20 off 2) making them .40 each. I also got the Green Giant frozen veggies, on sale for $1.00. After using a .50 off coupon on each ($1.00 off after doubling) makes them free. Use ANY Green Giant .50 coupon. They will all work. I also had found a $2.00 coupon off the Bird's Eye Steamfresh Meal and a .35 off coupon Bird's Eye frozen veggies which worked on the meals too. I am not sure which insert it was in, but not too long ago b/c it was not expired :) My total before savings was $35.29, not the best I've done, but not too bad.

There were not a lot of super great deals this week that I have found so far. I did see that the Crest toothpaste at CVS is free after getting your bucks back. If you have saved your coupons from the past look for a $1 or .50 coupon and make some money on this. Don't forget to use your bonus bucks from last week to purchase the toothpaste so you don't use money out of your pocket.

CVS Freebies

I hope everyone got this Sunday's paper! One the front page of the CVS ad there is a special on Irish Springs soap and Colgatge toothpaste or toothbrush. Both of these are free after recieving Bonus Bucks, but there is more! Also in Sunday's paper SmartSource coupons there is a coupon for .50 off IrishSprings Soap and .75 off Colgate toothpaste so you make $1.25.
